The team at Cadence Pilates participated in a one hour PD where a group of professional health workers gained an understanding in mindfulness, why we need it and the benefits of it. They left the session feeling more in tune with their wellbeing.
As our lives becomes extremely busy mindfulness is a learnt tool that can help individuals learn how to focus on the present moment. You become aware of what’s going on inside and around you—your thoughts, feelings, sensations, and environment.
“Mindfulness is giving yourself the opportunity to check in on you. “ It’s noticing and being curious of what’s happening in the present. It’s the opposite of being on auto-pilot which is when our bodies are doing one thing and our minds are somewhere else. It’s basically BEING WITH YOURSELF!!!”
